Call for Submissions: Archonic Magazine #2 "Disassemble"

Sydney-based collective Project Archonic is currently accepting submissions for Archonic Magazine, a quarterly publication exploring the nexus between architecture, art, and design. Themed "Disassemble" and prompting creatives to deconstruct, re-evaluate, and reconfigure their surroundings, the publication marks the second issue compiled by Project Archonic, and is expected to launch in March 2015. Learn more about the publication and view spreads from the previous issue after the break.

Helmed by student architect Shuang West and funded and operated independent of any educational institutes, Project Archonic seeks to bridge the gap between young creatives and the wider art and design communities. Archonic Magazine accepts local and international submissions, reflecting the breadth and quality of work by students and graduates within architecture and proximal creative fields.

"It gives students a way of having an identity and creative space outside of the strict structure of uni courses," West said. "I [want] to see a network of young architecture students/graduates pursue their individual creativity alongside their professional careers...to see the skills of these young architects merge into the field of art and design, so that the concept of 'architecture' is understood and appreciated as more than just buildings."
